Like I said earlier, I’m not usually one to get into watching running on T.V. However, this year’s Olympic women’s marathon was unreal. Watching the world record holder bail out was interesting, but watching Deena Kastor come from 12th place in the middle of the race and walk down the 3rd place runner in the last 3 miles was incredible. Forget the fact that the marathon course looked San Fran hilly at certain times (and for those who know about the history of the marathon -- the first guy didn't fair too well)Kastor was able to make up :38 seconds in the last 2.5 miles and pass her opponent like she was standing still.
It was awesome and then after the race she threw in a plug for the ING New York City marathon. Nice.
